Autograph letters signed from John A. Duff, New York, to William Winter [manuscript], 1873-1879.

(1) Addressed from New York; discusses the programs and arrangements for the Olympic's next season. Two brief notes in Winter's hand are pasted on the verso of the second leaf: "Duff was one of the earliest of Joe Jefferson's friends" and "John A. Duff, 1873, Augustin Daly married Mr. Duff's daughter." (2) On letterhead of Daly's Theatre, New York; asks Winter to refer to the great success of Wives as often and in as strong terms as possible.
